The Krishnanand Seva Ashram managed and run by the Human Service Trust cares for: - Elderly citizens deserted by their children and relatives
- Disabled persons and
- Persons suffering from mental and physical disability
The Home is divided in the following wards: The Human Service Trust felt the need to house the ladies in separate ward. With the help of the Mauritius Commercial Bank in the year 1991 the present building now known as Lady Sarojini Jugnauth Women's Home was built. The building now accommodates fifty ladies. 2. Old Couples Ward This ward especially designed to house old couples was inaugurated in February 2000. The Government of Mauritius funded this project through an aid obtained from the Grand Duchy of Luxemburg. It contains 12 pleasant double-bedrooms with en suite bathrooms.
3. Mahatma Gandhi Ward
This ward has residents who suffer from mental and physical incapability. 4. Sir Seewoosagar Ramgoolam Ward, Manilall Doctor Ward, Swami Vivekakanand Ward and Swami Dayanand Ward house male residents. |
