His Holiness Swami Krishnanand Saraswati, founded Human Service Trust with the motto ’Service to Man is Service to God’. His Devine Blessings enabled the numerous selfless and devoted disciples to achieve His goal. The untiring disciples were instrumental to achieve the following:-

  • organize yearly residential youth training camp for young boys & girls since the year 1967
  • Take over, in 1983, the Calebasses Infirmary which was run by ‘Congregation de Filles de Marie’ and renamed it as Krishnanand Seva  Ashram in 1983. Now it has the capacity to dwell 150 adults (100 gents and 50 Ladies).
The Wards are:

- Lady Sarojini Jugnauth Women’s Home (Ward for 50 ladies). The building was donated by Mauritius Commercial Bank in the year 1988 on the occasion of its 150th anniversary.

- Old Couples’ Ward (12 double-bed rooms with attached bathrooms). The building was donated by Luxemburg Government in the year 2000 to cater for old couples.

Geriatric Ward named as Mahatma Gandhi Ward  for the physically and mentally challenged residents.

 - Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam (SSR) Ward for male residents.

  • Set up a Cultural Unit to perform cultural activities at the seat of Religious and Socio-Cultural Institutions at National and International platforms.
  • Conduct classes on Human Values at different places throughout the Island of Mauritius.
  • Organize workshops / lectures / seminars for the children and adults on a regular basis dealing with pertinent the social issues.
  • Participate in exchange programmes with sister organizations outside Mauritius. 
  • Provide Ayurvedic treatment, massages and medicines at its Ayurved center at Calebasses since 1985. The HST presently has four centers which ensure services to nearly 800 patients monthly by highly qualified Vaids ( ayurvedic doctors) from India.
  • Prepare and serve with devotion, several food items freely to more than 100,000 pilgrims for 72 consecutive hours at Ganga Talao (Grand Bassin). This activity is organized during the pious occasion of Maha Shivaratree Festival. It is accomplished with the assistance of about 1,500 selfless volunteers coming from all over the Island.
  • Run and manage a Shelter for children in distress.
